So the jackass who jumped in the ring at #nightofchampions got sentenced to jail time. Let this be a lesson to all…stay out of OUR ring!

Fan Who Entered The Ring At WWE Night Of Champions Sentenced To Jail

We noted before that WWE was planning on cracking down on fans to try and prevent future incidents where they hop the barriers.

The fan, 37 year old Oscar Ramirez of Houston, who entered the ring at WWE Night of Champions on Sunday was charged with criminal trespass of a property or building with no forced entry, according to PWInsider.

The fan has plead guilty and was sentenced to 10 days in jail. If the case went to trial, he could have faced 1.5 years.

Alberto El Patron Talks Working For Vince McMahon, The WWE Schedule, Lucha Underground, More

I spoke with Alberto El Patron last week, who did color commentary in Spanish for the new MMA series Combate Americas, which launched on NBC Universo last Thursday and will take place every Thursday. The series comes a year after the reality series became the first fight-themed program in history to win a major TV award - "Best Variety or Reality Show" - at the 29th annual Imagen Awards last August. Fighters from the reality series as well as new, up and coming Latino talent and established, free agents will be featured in the live event series.

Below is the second and final part of the interview. Click here for part one of the interview, where El Patron discussed his MMA background, why a potential fight with Bill Goldberg doesn't interest him, if he would be open to fighting CM Punk in the UFC and more.

You left the WWE on less than good terms after standing up for yourself [to an employee who made some racist comments]. Over a year later, has your relationship with them changed at all? Are you open to a return?

"Oh, we're good. We shook hands, we talked about what happened. They apologized, I apologized. We're good right now. I'm pretty happy with what I'm doing now. The schedule in that company is brutal. I was doing over 250 appearances per year, I was never home. At the moment, I'm working everywhere they want to see me, and I have the opportunity to spend time with my family. I get to enjoy my kids, I'm at home 4-5 days a week, I do 1-2 shows per week. I'm happy, I don't have plans to go back, but like they say, 'never say never.'"

There are a lot of guys like you and Batista who mention the schedule. If they fixed that, and gave a couple of periods [between pay-per-views] a year where guys could rest up, do you think that would improve morale?

"Of course. We would all be more healthy. There was no time for us to rest, because I was going back home a day and a half for almost seven years. That was the reason some of us were getting tired and hurt. If they made changes, it would help everyone and they'd all be happier."

What was your reaction when you found out the employee who made the racist joke had left the company?

"I knew he was going to be fired. After all this happened with them, we started to talk again. I apologized to them, and they told me they were going to fire him. I don't know why they let me go and kept this guy so long after all this happened. It is what it is, it's all in the past. I'm doing fantastic. I'm showing all my co-workers that if you have the talent, there's a place for you out there. You need to leave the WWE bubble for a while, because there's life after WWE. I'm showing everybody that you can leave, and you can make more money than WWE just showing up, and I'm working 1-2 shows per week for the same money."

Vince McMahon seems to be stepping his responsibilities down. What was it like working for Vince, and how do you see that and the business changing as Triple H assumes more of his responsibilities?

"Vince McMahon is a gentleman. I loved working for him. He was always nice to me, helping my improve my character, giving advice to me to be better. He's a great boss. I can't tell you how the business will change, because I haven't watched WWE since I left, not even five seconds. I'm not one of those guys that goes searching for information online to find out what WWE wrestlers are doing. I left that place, and I'm doing great. It's not that I don't watch because I have a problem with them, I'm just not interested in what they're doing. I prefer to spend those hours with my kids. "

You signed with Lucha Underground earlier this year. What's that experience been like?

"It's good. It's a new product. It's growing and getting more viewers every week. They have good talent, but they also have people that I have no idea why they're there. But that's the same story everywhere. I had the opportunity to work with one of my good friends, Johnny Mundo. We had the chance to work a great series of matches, and I really enjoyed it."

Have you heard anything about a second season of Lucha Underground? Would you be a part of it? [Please note that this interview was conducted before the second season of Lucha Underground was announced this week]

"I don't know if I'm going to be a part of it. They said they were going to start in the Summer, then June, then August, now I think they say December. I don't know what's going on over there. I have to talk to the people in charge, and I will be talking to them this week. We'll see what happens."

You had been approached by TNA last year as well. What made you decide to sign on with Lucha Underground over TNA?

"Money was better with Lucha Underground. At this point in my life, I have nothing to prove. I've proven to everyone I'm one of the best in-ring performers in the world. They know every time I'm in the ring I give more than 100 percent. At the end of the day, it's about money and Lucha Underground made me a nice offer."

Do you think it makes it hard for a new group like Lucha Underground considering there is so much WWE content out there?

"It's really difficult to compete with such a big and great organization as WWE. Lucha Underground has the right idea. Good talent, and if they keep doing things the way they started, they can grow and be an important organization in pro wrestling."

WWE Cracking Down to Prevent Future Incidents with Fans Hopping the Barriers

Last night that WWE issued the following statement in regards to the fan who entered the ring before Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs. The Wyatt Family at Night of Champions:

"WWE takes the safety of our performers very seriously and any fan entering the ring area will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Due to the recent string of WWE fan incidents, word is that the company is looking at pursuing the most stringent prosecution possible for all future fan incidents, according to PWInsider.

WWE usually issues lifetime bans to fans who hop the barrier but having them charged criminally will obviously cause a lot of headaches for the fans who breaks the rules.

Dana Warrior Talks Ultimate Warrior's Reconciliation With WWE, Triple H's Role, Warrior's Passing

Recently on Talk Is Jericho, Chris Jericho interviewed the Ultimate Warrior's widow, Dana Warrior. Mrs. Warrior talked about her husband's reconciliation with WWE, her husband's untimely passing, and the importance of Warrior Award.

With respect to the reconciliation between Warrior and WWE, Mrs. Warrior said that it was a long process of two or three years, as Warrior was really hurt by the Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD. According to Mrs. Warrior, Triple H's persistence played a major role in bringing the parties back together.

"I think Paul [Levesque] reached out a hand and I think Paul kept reaching out the hand, and reaching out the hand, and reaching out the hand, until finally my husband couldn't deny that he wanted to reach back." She added, "that bridge, I feel like was built in big part by Paul. I do. Between Vince [McMahon] and my husband, and then Paul just kind of remedying the hurt and the trust issues that had to go on, but it took a couple of years".

When Jericho suggested that Triple H has been able to play good cop to Vince McMahon's bad cop, as Triple H is often credited for getting Bruno Sammartino and "Macho Man" Randy Savage into the WWE Hall of Fame, Mrs. Warrior said that Warrior's relationships with Vince McMahon and Triple H were more like father/son and older/younger brothers. Mrs. Warrior claimed that her husband missed Vince McMahon even when they were embroiled in litigation with WWE and even wanted to call Vince McMahon after the birth of the couple's first daughter.

"No matter how mad my husband was at Vince, no matter how much it broke his heart with the [Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior] DVD, no matter what else, he always had such a respect for him and a love, like a genuine love," Mrs. Warrior added, "my husband was like the errant teenager who had to go off and prove himself."

Mrs. Warrior claimed that her husband had a hole in his heart and that it was only going to be filled by returning home to WWE. Warrior passed away on April 8, 2014, after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame over WrestleMania weekend and appearing on the April 7, 2014 edition of RAW.

"I believe he was always meant to go home and take his rightful place and I don't think he could have rested had he not," she added, "that hole that I know that he had must have been filled or he wouldn't have left this place."

Mrs. Warrior recalled leaving New Orleans the morning following RAW. Apparently, Warrior had an impromptu autograph signing at the airport terminal before their flight and all of the fans at the airport stood and cheered for Warrior as the couple boarded the airplane. After taking his seat on the plane, fans would pass by, pat Warrior on the shoulder, and tell him how much he meant to them.

"All those people patted him [on the shoulder] and cheered him and told him how much he meant to them on the day that we lost him. I mean, how good that must have felt." She continued, "he made his way home and the people who loved him got to tell him that they loved him and he got to say the same thing in return."

Warrior passed away later that day and Mrs. Warrior stated that her husband was a warrior even in his death.

"When he died, he died like a warrior. I mean, he didn't crumble. He died like a warrior and I knew he was gone."

As for the Warrior Award, Mrs. Warrior said that the award breathed new life into her and it gave her a cause that was greater than her own grief and heartache.

"I was so overwhelmed by what that would mean to remember my husband like that and, like, so honored to have that named for him because that is something that will go down in tradition, like when Mattie, my younger [daughter] claws her way to the top in the wrestling world, there will still be the Warrior Award. That will be for her daddy, like, when you talk about cool legacies, that's something that you leave behind because it means something, not just for my husband, it's not an ego thing, it's a heart thing."

Mrs. Warrior said the award will be given annually and that Connor 'the Crusher' Michalek being the first recipient has special meaning for her. Mrs. Warrior indicated that inducting Michalek into WWE Hall of Fame was a meaningful moment for her like her wedding day and having her two children.

"As much hurt and devastation as it is to lose my 'happily ever after' that I had with my husband, and to know Steve [Connor's father] and Connor, and for him to lose his 'once upon a time', that broke my heart and made me want to step up and do something as best as I could for that little boy and for that little boy's legacy."

Mrs. Warrior said that she has struck up a friendship with Steve Michalek and that they check up on each other from time to time. She also indicated that Stephanie McMahon has been a great support system for her.

"I mean, holy mackerel. I wish my husband had known her because he, for all of his craziness, he was raised by a single mom, he's surrounded by women in our house, Linda McMahon, the reason he chose her [to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame] was because he had so much reverence for her. That was sincerely who he wanted to induct him and I wish that he knew Stephanie because he would have just loved her."

In addition to these topics, Mrs. Warrior discussed Warrior's relationship with 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, her daughter wanting to become a WWE Diva, and much more. Click here to check out the entire podcast.

Family comes first for Roman Reigns

A lot has happened in Roman Reigns' career since the last time SLAM! Wrestling talked to him. He was injured, won the Royal Rumble, was in the middle of a controversy he couldn't do anything against, main-evented WrestleMania and started teaming again with former Shield member Dean Ambrose. But even if he had a banner year, Reigns has still one focus in mind: his family.

For most WWE Superstars or professional wrestlers, being injured can be disastrous. Some will fear they might lose their spot or even their job while some others will rush their return and therefore expose themselves to more injuries in the future.

Not Roman Reigns.

"I wouldn't change anything because regardless of what happened or what could have happened, I really feel like I took advantage of that time that I had off," Reigns told SLAM! Wrestling. "The most important thing for me will always be God and family. And I was able to spend a lot of needed time with my family. I was able to get married as well. So for me I was able to take care of so many personal things which in the long run, makes the best performer. Everything happens for a reason, I'm a better performer this day for all that, so I wouldn't take anything back."

Winning the Royal Rumble last January should have been something fun for Reigns, but instead, it will be remembered as the one Daniel Bryan didn't win. In fact, the WWE Universe was so mad that Bryan, their hero, was eliminated from it, that they turned on Reigns, not because of something he did, but only because he was the chosen one.

"I just keep doing my thing and believe in myself. Any time I had any kind of doubters or anyone trying to hold me back, it makes me want it even more...More?

WWE Studios Moving Forward With Another Animated Movie, WWE Vs. Hanna-Barbera In The Works

WWE Studios is moving forward with another animated movie that would see WWE characters interact with The Jetsons.

We noted earlier this year that Warner Bros. was working on a script for the straight-to-DVD release. This comes after successful animated movie with Scooby Doo and The Flintstones. A second Scooby - WWE movie is currently being produced as well as a series of short films that will feature WWE characters in the ring with various Hanna-Barbera characters.

2K Sports Issues Statement On WWE's Divas Revolution And The WWE 2K16 Video Game

Apparently there had been some unhappiness among the WWE gamer community over the lack of Divas Revolution presence in the game. 2K Sports posted this statement in response:

"With our final roster reveal this past Monday, it was awesome seeing the excitement for The New Day, Enzo and Cass, Mikey Whipwreck, and more. But it was clear that some in the community are frustrated by the lack of the newer Divas added to the main WWE roster recently.

We pushed as hard as we could to include Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley in WWE 2K16, but it simply did not work out for various reasons. While we are not divulging full details on WWE 2K16's post-launch plans just yet, we can confirm that the Four Horsewomen will not be available as DLC.

We are proud to have and built the largest WWE roster to date featuring the most Divas ever. The WWE 2K16 disc includes all of the Divas on the main roster at the time we locked it in (13 playable in total).

We all agree the Divas Revolution is great for business and look forward to celebrating the Divas even more in future WWE 2K titles."

Apollo Crews On Aiming To Be WWE NXT's Most Complete Superstar, Using Support As Motivation

WWE NXT Superstar Apollo Crews, the former Uhaa Nation, recently spoke with WWE's website. Crews commented on trying to be NXT's most complete Superstar:

"I often get told by many they've never seen a guy who can do what I do in the ring. I want to be to the complete package by having all angles and aspects covered. I don't want to do all things well — I want everything I do to be great. Some people like to settle for less, I always have to strive and keep pushing for more."

Crews also commented on using the high expectations people have for him as continued motivation:

"All I can do is go out there and give everything I have. My mom watched me at Takeover: Brooklyn and said she was amazed, and it was only the second time she's seen me wrestle. My dad very frequently lets me know how proud he is, and extended family in Nigeria, that I don't even know or have met, have also reached out and expressed how proud they are. My kid sister, who isn't even a fan of wrestling, watched me. The NXT fans have shown me nothing but love, too. I appreciate all the support, and it makes me push that much harder."

At Triple H's Request, Here's MOTORHEAD Covering THE ROLLING STONES' "Sympathy For The Devil"

Remember a few months ago when the tracklisting for Motorhead's new album, Black Magic, came out it was revealed the band would be covering The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil." It was confusing, until Lemmy revealed in an interview that WWE COO Triple H actually personally requested it, so the band did it. I'm assuming that Lemmy assumes that WWE will eventually use the track as the theme song for a PPV. Here is the Rolling Stone's version:

Triple H Talks NXT’s Presence on the WWE Main Roster, Talks Sting Wrestling On Raw, Night of Champions, Bayley vs Banks and More

WWE: Earth's Most Successful Traveling Theater

If you ask a roomful of Broadway fans what the most successful touring show in the world is, you will probably hear a chorus of The Phantom of the Opera or Cats. Truly, both of these shows have made a mint over the years, particularly on tour: The official website for Phantom claims a worldwide gross in excess of $6 billion. While this is a staggering figure, built up over 29 years of constant performances around the world, there is one road show that consistently beats it, landing a cool half billion in annual sales: World Wrestling Entertainment (better known as WWE), the biggest name in professional wrestling.

"Wait a minute," you might say. "Professional wrestling is not theater." Oh, but it is: Unlike its freestyle and Greco-Roman cousins, pro wrestling traffics in whimsical costumes, sets, characters, and story lines — it is much closer to the stage than the Olympic podium. This is particularly true since the death of "kayfabe" (the practice of refusing to acknowledge that the wrestlers are playing roles and their matches are predetermined). The vast majority of wrestling fans are in on the secret: This is scripted theater. The major difference is that while a Broadway tour may stop at 2,000- to 3,500-seat houses (at most), the WWE regularly plays in front of sold-out arenas of 5,000 to 15,000. It is long past time we give WWE its due at the most vital theatrical enterprise of our time....More?

Dixie Carter On TNA's Being Done With Destination America This Year, TNA Continuing To Exist, WWE

TNA President Dixie Carter, GFW's Jeff Jarrett and several TNA stars recently spoke with Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard site. The full interview is at this link. Below are highlights:

Dixie on TNA's status with Destination America:

"The biggest challenge for us is building a brand in the U.S. That's where we need to grow. We're contracted to Destination America through the end of the year, and we are in discussions going on for 2016."

Dixie on TNA's future:

"TNA will continue exist, and on a level that far exceeds what we're currently doing. I'm looking ahead five years down the road, not a year down the road."

Dixie on TNA creating competition and WWE:

"Besides WWE, we're the only global promotion in the world. We're in over 120 countries worldwide and in 19 languages. We made a conscious decision about three years ago to take a step back and focus on young talent. We've had some of the biggest names ever on our show. People have given us a hard time about using WWE talent, but after a hot run with us, almost every one of them has worked with WWE again. That is a huge compliment for us.

"I do feel we've taken some unfair blows. Competition, no matter who it is, is healthy. It's absolutely imperative for the industry to grow. There's a reason that there is a Lowe's on the corner of every Home Depot, and a Walgreens across from every CVS. It's important for the industry."

Did Hulk Hogan Talk To Vince McMahon After The Racist Comments Scandal?, Hogan Talks WWE

Hulk Hogan recently spoke with Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard blog. The full interview is at this link. He commented on the fallout with WWE after The National Enquirer revealed racist comments he made years ago. Hogan says he never talked to Vince McMahon and it was Triple H who cut ties with him. Below are some quotes:

"I never talked to Vince. The only person I talked to was Triple H. I called him and told him there was some old news coming out from when TMZ first reported the tape and there were some racial slurs on it. Triple H said, 'OK, thanks for calling. Let me talk to Vince.' He called me back a half hour later and he goes, 'I've got some news and it isn't good. Vince said that you need to resign.' I never heard from Vince or talked to Vince. In the middle of the night, they just fired me."

"They had to do what was best for business. Triple H was telling me the USA Network was reacting very badly, and they had to make a quick decision, and that was to put me out to pasture. They were under heavy fire and they were scrambling."

"That's not characteristic of what the WWE does. Vince McMahon reaches out and helps people. If you're a drug abuser or you abuse alcohol, Vince McMahon and the WWE reach out and help people. So what's so uncommon about this was they took the symptoms, said, 'Oh my god, there's a symptom of being a racist,' and threw me away. They usually go to the source. They've known me for over 30 years and they know I'm not a racist, so they should have went to the source. I don't use the word, ever, except for in that moment of anger, so I wish WWE went to the source instead of the symptoms. I could have explained I've tried every day since then to be a better man."

"The only place for me to be would be the WWE. That's where my home is. I thought I'd go step-by-step, crawling uphill with WWE, to explain how wrong I was, but that opportunity wasn't there. I'd love to sit down and connect with Vince. A lot of people make mistakes. If we were all judged by our weakest moment, it would be a sad world. If I had a chance to work with Vince and help people, we could help fix a lot of things together."

We noted last week that Paige and Alicia Fox were thrown out of a restaurant in Baltimore, Maryland on Sunday, September 6th after an incident with a regular customer who was described as intoxicated. The incident ended with drinks being thrown by both sides.

Paige appeared at Comic Con in Pittsburgh this weekend and addressed the incident. Paige says they were not filming the incident for Total Divas as cameras weren't there. Paige claims her and Alicia were singing karaoke when the woman began filming them. The Divas asked the woman to stop and that's when she got mad and threw her drink at them.

PWInsider is confirming that the indy star has signed with the WWE, adding that she will report to the Performance Center later this month.

Athena’s signing has been rumored ever since she took part in a WWE tryout in June. The rumors started heating up in recent weeks, the widespread belief being that she was finishing up her indy dates before making her transition to the WWE.

WWE And Triple H Officially Announce 30-Minute Ironwoman Match For WWE NXT Takeover

WWE and Triple H have officially announced Sasha Banks vs. Bayley in a 30-Minute Ironwoman Match for the main event of the October 7th NXT Takeover special:

On the heels of their groundbreaking, show-stealing battle at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, Bayley and Sasha Banks are set to make history once again. NXT General Manager William Regal has confirmed that the two will clash once again in the main event of NXT TakeOver on Oct. 7 in a 30-Minute Iron Man Match for the NXT Women's Championship!

This title match will go a full half-hour. Whoever scores the most pinfalls, submissions, disqualifications or count-outs will win the match and be declared NXT Women's Champion.

The rivalry between these two Divas runs deep. After months of coming up short in championship matches, Bayley finally found the champion's spirit within, going on a tear through the best competition NXT had to offer, defeating Emma, Charlotte and Becky Lynch to earn a title match with Sasha in Brooklyn. While the match meant everything to Bayley, The Boss dismissed her challenger before the bell even rang. Having been called up to WWE's main roster as part of the Divas Revolution, the Team B.A.D. member brushed Bayley off, saying that she wasn't worth her time.

Fueled by Sasha's disrespect, Bayley laid it all on the line at the sold-out Barclays Center. Despite The Boss' best attempts to re-injure her hand, the happy-go-lucky Diva fought through the pain, and several nasty spills, to connect with a reverse hurricanrana off the ropes and a Belly-to-Bayley Suplex to capture the title.

Having finally reached the top of the mountain, Bayley stood tall with the NXT Women's Championship in hand, soon to be joined in celebration by Charlotte and Becky. Sasha got back in the ring and hugged her rival, before the four Divas who changed the face of women's wrestling took a curtain call at NXT's biggest event ever.

As it turns out, the last chapter in this grueling rivalry hadn't been written yet. Bayley and Sasha Banks will have another opportunity to change the game at NXT TakeOver. Who will go the distance in a grueling 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match and walk out of Orlando with the NXT Women's Championship? Find out Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, only on WWE Network!
